WHICH I DID, TO GET 200 GO INTO THE ACCOUNT. WELL, THEY ONLY GAVE ME 50 DOLLARS.INSTEAD OF 300. THEY MADE UP SOME STUPID THING ABOUT I OPENED UP A STANDARD ACCOUNT. THATS NOT TRUE. THEY CHEATED ME OUT OF 150 DOLLARS. I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THIS BANK AGAIN. SO PISSED. GLORIA BLACKMON

Overdraft Fees

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I was mislead once again by another big bank. This time with PNC, I checked my account last night and knew that I have an auto draft set up for the morning.

Well PNC in their wonderfully unethical practices decided to pay 2 of my bills late last night instead of this morning like it should have been. I was charged 2 $36.00 overdraft fees and when I called this morning the *** bag from PNC said he could not reverse the charges because it was my fault and not theirs even though he admitted that the funds came out late last night.

I am very careful on how I manage my money and will no longer be a PNC customer and will let everyone that I know of how they screwed me a loyal customer for over a decade. $72.00 to loose a good customer PNC hope it was worth it!!

Can't keep track of my cards

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I've made at least 10 calls to PNC in the last 2 weeks trying to replace a debit card that is about to expire- every time I called, they told me a replacement is on the way and I should keep checking my mail (the 3-7 business days it's supposed to take to arrive have long passed by this point). Yesterday I call again because I find out my current card is now closed- a week before it's supposed to expire, by the way- and they tell me that I should have received my card by now, and that my current card cannot be reactivated because a replacement was already sent out. I have absolutely no way to verify that a card was even put in the mail, and I have no reason to believe that one ever was, since it's been nearly 3 weeks and I don't have it. I've explained this situation to at least 10 different representatives in the calmest and friendliest way possible, and every one of them has treated me like I have no idea what I'm talking about. At this point, I have absolutely no access to any of the money in my account because I don't have any remaining checks, and the closest PNC branch to my current location is a 5 hour drive away, which I have no time to make. The representatives and whomever else I've spoken to either don't understand me and my situation, or simply don't care. All I can do now is open an account with a new bank, transfer all of my money into it, and (hopefully) close my PNC account (although I have my doubts that I'll even be permitted to do that).

Locked account not able to make a deposit

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have had a business checking account with PNC bank for over 17 years with my name and the business name on the account. Today my wife went in to make a deposit with deposit slip filled out and they told her she could not make a because she was not on the account. I went to the same bank office and talked to the manager to make the deposit and she stated I could not make a deposit for a my business because the account is a personal account. When she pulled up the records it show it was a business account. She then told me I still could not make a deposit due to my name was listed with the business name which made it a personal account. I advised her PNC just lost my business and my personal accounts. To close them and cut a cashier check for each account in the tune of over 400 thousand. She tried to get me to change my mind but I said to late.

Intentionally caused my account to be overdrawn.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
PNC Bank - Intentionally caused my account to be overdrawn.

I check my e-mail every day for job offers and bank alerts whenever my account is going to be overdrawn. For about a month or two, I had received an e-mail from PNC for every day my balance was under $100.00.

I usually keep the bank account under the threshold so I can get daily alerts on my balance. PNC didn't like that I suppose. On December 15th, 2017, a bill was charged and put me at something like -$55.00, but I didn't receive the e-mail for that day. I never even received an alert for the overdrawn account until the day after (which was sent to my spam folder) by which time the overdraft fee was already applied.

I called PNC but, since I had already gotten two previous overdraft fees refunded in the month of October (due to another incident regarding the unreliability of their e-mail system), they suggested I keep a ledger and offered to mail me a free ledger instead. Every day since the 15th of December, I have continued to receive regular e-mails correctly stating my current balance on the account. When I called, they never mentioned that the e-mail was missing, or that it was sent and I just never got it. I honestly think that they didn't send the alert on purpose.

I've fallen on rough times financially, and can't afford to be constantly paying overdraft charges just to line their pockets. I will be closing this account as soon as possible and migrating my auto-pay accounts to my secondary bank account.

PNC customers should know that the law firm of Migliaccio & Rathod currently has an open investigation into excessive overdraft fees charged by banks, PNC included. If you type "Migliaccio and Rathod overdraft" into Google, you should find their website as one of the first links.

Home equity loan

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My home equity loan is so screwed up that my balance is close to $2,000 dollars higher than it should be. My payments are not applied to my account.

For close to 3 months they have screwed with my account applying misapplication reversals. They are over charging my interest because my account balance is higher than it should be. I have talked with at least 4 people about the problem and none of them are doing anything to fix the problem.

All I get is a sob story on how they are working on the problem but nothing gets done. If fact since they started looking at the problem it has only got worse.

Same exact thing is happening to me! Getting ready to pull all my money out!

I have been having issues with PNC beginning in November of 2017 when they applied most of my monthly payment to interest and I am in a fixed rate. They have given me 2 late charges and my payment has not been late now those late charges are showing as a line of credit even though I do not have a line of credit because I am in a fixed rate mortgage.

Today I received another statement this time it show me past due almost 4K i have never been late nor past due. I have no idea what I actually owe them.

Also, most recently I received notice that my credit score was affected because they are stating I am over my available credit by the amount of those late fees. Thinking about going and hiring a lawyer to get this resolved its been 6 months now and nothing has been fixed.

Bounced checks

Went to write checks for my son's utilities(he is 100% disabled). He sent them in and called a few days later to say that they had bounced.

I haven't had less than 3000 in that account in months so 140 worth of checks should not bounce. Called my branch and they ended up referring me to a customer service number where a young man proceeded to tell me there was nothing he could do because he could not get into the account. I asked to speak with his supervisor and was told that only my branch could help me. When I said that they had referred me he seemed confused and I again asked to speak to his boss whereon I was put on hold and hung up after waiting twenty minutes for someone to come on.

Called the branch back and they went into catch 22 mode and referred me back to customer service. Time to try another bank

Refinancing from here is horrible

Started a refinance a few months back ( more like back in December). Was in contact with them. it took long because I was on a leave of absent from work do to surgery. I signed a bunch of paperwork and thought the refinance was going through. Last week I got mail that said I was declined for no collateral. haha, it's a refinance and my house is collateral. The guy that was working with us told us we was approved. Time to take my business elsewhere. It's a bad thing to have someone tell you that you are approved and get denied for no collateral. Oh yeah i almost forget, the guy also wanted to pay off someone of bills with the refinance but wouldn't let me pick what bills to pay off. should be my choice of what I pay off.

Don't do business with PNC Bank

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Don't do business with PNC Bank Credit Card. Be aware! After paying off the credit card (and setting it aside), an unexpected charge was posted to the card. The bank never notified me, but they are charging $38.00 for late fees, every single month (now for 3 month). I just found out because I called them when I was out of the country trying to use the card. To my surprise they left a message stating that my account was delinquent. The bank never notified me. No regular mail, no email, no phone call. Nothing. I have been dealing with incompetent management that prefers to lose a customer (and have even more bad reviews) instead of doing what's right and taking responsibility for no customer service. No supervisor or manager will resolve the problem. After being a loyal customer, for over 15 years, this is how they treat you. Very convenient to not communicate with the customer! I am paying much more than the amount charged just in late fees. Do you want to have that kind of relationship with a bank? With all of the Identity theft out there the bank doesn't care about informing their customers that there is a unpaid charge? Worst then that, PNC bank takes advantage of the loyal customer by charging absurd late fees? Save time, money and aggravation. Do business with a decent bank who will actually protect your account instead of stealing money from it.

Poor Customer Service

On April 5, 2018 my daughter went to the bank to cash two checks drawn from another PNC account and spent 25 minutes waiting to cash these two checks. She has been on my account for 17 years and periodically uses PNC to cash her checks. The bank teller informed her, that her name was not on the account although she has been at PNC on Monday, April 2, 2018 and did not have a problem. The branch that I have used for a number of years certainly does not have good customer service. I too have left the bank feeling I have not been treated well. Certainly in the service business as the bank should be considered, an approved customer service for this branch is warranted. The Manager perhaps need to consider another position rather then having to deal with customers.

My only complaint with them is the time spent on-hold when calling to make a payment since the payment option on their website was not working due to maintenance that must have been going on for nearly 24 hours because I tried late night in the wee hours and I couldn't make a payment, and then the next afternoon it was still not allowing me to make the payment. I called them to process the payment over the phone and I don't recall how long I was on-hold, maybe 5-10 mins.

When I did talk to someone (he was super nice and helpful) but he wasn't to get the payment to process due to some limitations he had with limited access to the system. He out me on hold for a few mins, then when he came back on, he was able to push the payment thru and process it. I was on the phone about 20 mins total - a bit long just to make a payment. I think their website for their Home Equity Loans is pretty average at best and hasn't had an good renovation in 10+ years as it's the same as when I had this Equity Line with National City (before PNC took them over).

So PNC has never upgraded this area of their online services, but rather just keep it as it was when they got it thru the Nat'l City acquisition. As for the person who wrote the review above - all one needs to do is look at their *** poor grammar and lack of punctuation and you can tell enough about the person. I'm sure the PNC Rep on the phone would give this Pissed Off account holder a lower review than this person gave PNC!

What an idiot. Learn how to write.
